How trips work

The fare for a suburban trip depends on distance and fare zone. Within the city some trips are paid like the metro; beyond it the operator’s fares apply.

Suburban trains are handy for weekend trips: the Moscow region has estates, monasteries, forests and rivers within an hour of the terminals. Check the timetable on the day of travel.
