Privacy policy

01Purpose of the website

The website is an independent informational and portfolio project about Moscow: its districts, sights, history and transport. It is not an official resource of the City of Moscow and is not intended to collect visitors’ personal data.

02What we do not collect

There is no registration, no user accounts, no contact forms, subscriptions, comments or payments. We do not ask for your name, phone number, email address or any other information about you.

03Analytics and advertising

The website does not use advertising networks, web analytics, visitor counters, social media pixels or other tracking tools. We do not build visitor profiles or share information with advertisers.

04Cookies and browser storage

The website uses one first-party functional cookie, msk_locale. It is set only after you choose a language in the switcher, stores the code of that language (for example “ru” or “en”) and lasts one year. It is used to show pages in your chosen language the next time you open the site.

The welcome window and the terms window appear each time the site is opened or the page is reloaded. Acceptance of the terms is not saved anywhere — not in cookies, not in browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) and not on the server — and button presses are not sent anywhere.

You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; the website will keep working and the language will be taken from the page address.

05Server logs

To open the site, the browser establishes a network connection to the server, so the visitor’s IP address and the technical parameters of the request are necessarily processed while the connection lasts. The web server configuration prepared for hosting the site turns the access log off and keeps an error log only for server failures; the application itself does not record information about visitors. Technical records may still be kept by the hosting provider, the server’s operating system, network infrastructure or attack protection services, which are outside the site’s control. Such information is not used for advertising, analytics or profiling.

06External resources

Fonts, photographs, map and transport data are stored on the website itself: viewing pages does not contact third-party services. The website does not embed external maps, videos or widgets. Links to external websites (Wikimedia Commons, OpenStreetMap, official resources, ivashkin.tech) open only when you click them; after that, the rules of that website apply.

07Sharing of information

We do not sell or share information about visitors with third parties. Information from server logs may be disclosed only where expressly required by law.

09Changes to this policy

The policy may be updated if the way the website works changes. The new version is published on this page with the date of the update.
